Hello, today we are reviewing the Dailies Total 1 contact lens. This is a daily disposable contact lens designed by Ciba Vision which is a subdivision of Alcon.
This is a great contact lens. It's a little on the pricey side, but the reason it has that premium price is because it is made of a very unique material. It is a silicone hydrogel contact lens. But the way the gel is designed is the outside surface of this jelly is designed to be 100% water content. What that means is, basically, when you have the contact lens on your eye. All you are feeling is water in your eye. You do not feel the contact lens, you do not feel the way it sits in your eye, it just feels like water.
So for those patients with very severe dry eye or even dryness that they had in the past with contact lenses, this maybe a solution for you.
Don't forget it is a premium contact lens so you are going to pay a little bit more for it. But it's definitely worth it. Get the high oxygen, get the 100% water content. This is a really good product for you.
